Transfer Market

The transfer market in FD 27: Direct Your Football Club is a window with walls. You do not pick the eleven. You decide whether a fee and a wage belong on these books. Version 0.1 already contains more than 6,000 players with position-specific attributes. A full-back who joins attacks is not the same profile as one who sits. This page is the market rules. The talk lives on how to negotiate transfers. The numbers live on wages and contracts. The sentences live on scouting reports.

Windows, incoming bids, dead arrows

Out-of-window signings were patched shut. Plan inside the window. A January panic is the same conversation with less time. Incoming bids now open a full negotiation panel instead of accept or reject. Use it. Counter. Walk away. Offer arrows that did nothing in some player reports may still need a later build. Check patch notes if a control feels dead rather than assuming the other club is silent.

Lower-division markets were broken in early demo builds because player quality blocked offers. That path was corrected before v0.1. Relegation auto-cuts the wage bill to the new reality so clubs do not fold on the way down. Those two facts change how brave you can be in League One. They do not make a superstar cheap.

Wage resistance dropped: most players will at least talk. Difficulty stayed. If someone is clearly better than your squad average, the number still matches the level. You get the conversation, not a theft. Difficulty and mode change which chairs you sit in. Campaign mode already removed the purchase budget. Experience mode lets a giant hide a bad wage behind television. Neither mode turns a Premier League nine into a League Two bargain.

People, not the database

The sporting director you hired changes which targets look realistic. A barren shortlist is often a person problem. Fix the seat with how to hire staff before you blame 6,000 names. Staff reports gained thousands of situational lines in a v0.1 update. Read them. Scouts no longer recite generalities.

Depth beats stardom in a first season. Three substitution windows will not save a bench that is a teenager. Medical bills arrive about six months late. A star who cannot be covered is a February story. Follow the first season walkthrough if the calendar still feels like a shopping list. Club vision is the sentence you quote when a shiny name contradicts the academy plan.

Do not shop before the shirt is honest. How to get sponsors belongs in the same week as the first bid. Use a monthly save before you ink anything. Three slots exist. There is no rewind for a wage already promised.

The map is two countries. More leagues are a roadmap problem. Until then, the English and Spanish lists are the whole classroom. A good market week is one you can explain in May: the fee fit, the wage fit, the bench still existed, and the name matched vision. A bad one is a story about almost stealing a superstar. Version 0.1 will not reward that story. Walk away more often than you think.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for the boardroom questions owners actually search.

Can I sign outside the window?

Not under current v0.1 rules. Out-of-window signings were closed.

Why is my League Two list dead?

Early builds dried the lower market. That was corrected. If it is still dead, check patch notes.

Who opens better targets?

The sporting director. A barren list is often a hire problem. See staff hire order.

Do I pick the Best XI after a signing?

No. The coach does. You funded the squad. See how to play.
